Começou oficialmente a temporada dos Óscares. Os nomeados às várias categorias da aclamada estatueta dourada foram já revelados.
Está marcada para 22 de fevereiro a 87.ª cerimónia dos aclamados prémios da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas, mais conhecidos por The Oscars. Este ano a cerimónia será conduzida pelo ator Neil Patrick Harris e decorrerá, como habitualmente, no Dolby Theatre, em Los Angeles.
Com nove nomeações cada um, a grande surpresa vai para os filmes The Grand Budapest Hotel e Birdman. Além de serem candidatos a Melhor Filme do Ano, estão também nomeados noutras principais categorias, como a de Melhor Diretor. Boyhood, o grande vencedor dos Globos de Ouro, está também nomeado para a principal categoria, somando um total de seis nomeações, a par de American Sniper.
